The web-site is best viewed using either Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox with a resolution of 1024 x 768. The web-site will run on lower resolutions such as 800 x 600 but the information may not appear as it should. The web-site was designed using Microsoft Frontpage. For the graphics and banners on this site, we used Adobe Photoshop. Our aim was to make the graphics blend in with the main banner that is used on each individual page. The aim of this web-site is to provide a comprehensive record of all the albums, singles and DVDs of Girls Aloud as well as chart runs. The Girls Aloud Discography was originally compiled as a thread on DenDen forums from the 23rd November 2004. The thread was maintained and updated regularly up until the 4th December 2005 when the Girls Aloud Discography was modified into a website. This happened after Jay's friend, Brett Hadley, offered his web-space. The site started to be developed during early 2006 and after eighteen months Jay decided that he wanted to expand his site further. In this new version of the Girls Aloud Discography site we decided to keep a simple design and we wanted to create a consistent format throughout by using the same font style and banner. We wanted to create something that looked fresh and clear to read for our visitors. We also wanted the site to be easy to use and navigate around. We hope that we have achieved this. Furthermore, we wanted the site's theme to reflect Girls Aloud releases, currently Call The Shots. The site was up and running before the release of Tangled Up. The screenshots on the right hand side of this page illustrate how we have tried to mirror the latest single. Our continual goal is to keep all areas of the discography up to date to provide Girls Aloud fans with current album and single information. We have several future aims for this site. We hope to eventually set-up a mailing facility to allow users to subscribe to this site and received regular news updates relating to album, single and DVD sales. It will also provide a variety of other information. We also hope to include links to the Girls Aloud music videos. Please note: This site is regularly updated and if you are a regular visitor we recommend that you refresh the pages you load. This is to ensure that all new updates and information display correctly. Refreshing the pages will just help to make sure that you are viewing the most and up to date version. |
