The long awaited follow up to Sound Of The Underground was greatly deliberated. Initially Kimberley Walsh said that the second single would be "If You Wanna Roll", a re-recording of an unreleased song by recently disbanded Popstars band Hear'Say. It was then rumoured that the girls would release "Girls Allowed" after it was reported that Westlife member Bryan McFadden had written the song especially for the girls. "Mars Attack" (or "Can't Stop Rockin'" as it was tentatively titled at the time) was also considered for second single. But finally it was decided that "No Good Advice" would be the second single. Released on 26th May 2003, five whole months on from their debut single, "No Good Advice" was beaten to #1 by R Kelly with "Ignition" and entered at #2. The single sold about a fifth of their previous single, at just under 120,000 copies. |
