"Tangled Up" is the fourth studio album by Girls Aloud, following on from a hugely successful Greatest Hits compilation. It features the Top 10 singles "Sexy! No No No…", "Call The Shots" and "Can't Speak French".

The album was released in two formats – one version is a standard edition widely available in music stores, the other is an exclusive fan edition available exclusively through the Girls Aloud online shop.

The album was released on 19th November 2007, and was the first time they had released an album before the single promoting it was released ("Call The Shots" being released a week later). This strategy is seldom used by any act, and especially not by a pop group – but the idea worked well. "Tangled Up" charted at #4 in its first week – Girls Aloud’s first studio album since their debut release to peak inside the Top 5! The album being available in advance of the single benefited "Call The Shots", which entered the charts at #9 the same week on download sales alone.
"Tangled Up" sold just short of 50,000 copies in its first week, and has so far sold around 420,000 copies in total.

'Tangled Up' climbed back into the Top 75 in the week the single 'The Promise' debuted at #1, re-entering at #53 .
